An elective pharmacotherapeutic course that is adjunctive to the required course: N6310 Pharmacotherapeutics for Advanced Practice Nurses. It is designed to review and enhance the knowledge of the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacotherapeutic management essential to the anticipated prescriber role of the advanced practice nurses. The emphasis is on expanding the knowledge base and preparing the students for clinical practice particularly in the management of complex chronic diseases requiring multiple pharmacologic treatments. One semester unit. Offered on a credit/no credit basis.
