Catalog description

The comprehensive examination will allow the student to demonstrate mastery of the subject matter including: client assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and clinical reasoning in developing a treatment and management plan. The comprehensive examination will include a multiple choice examination preparing the student for the national certification examination for the Family Nurse Practitioner. The comprehensive examination will include a written component that will incorporate nursing theory, nursing leadership, nursing research, educational principles, and patient care management.
