Catalog description

This work study course is offered by the Department of Nursing in cooperation with selected clinical agencies. Students apply previously learned nursing theory and clinical skills in assigned patient care settings under the supervision of selected RN preceptors. The laboratory experience is supervised by a Department of Nursing faculty (course instructor) and clinical agency coordinators. The determination of course credits, evaluation, and grading is the responsibility of the nursing faculty. Credit or no credit. 150-450 minutes of laboratory per week. May be repeated up to a maximum of 15 units.
