Catalog description

Focuses on the nurse's role as a leader in a healthcare setting. Emphasis is placed on the implementation of leadership principles and how they are used to define the nurse's leadership style. Students will complete a culminating project within their own practice setting that demonstrates nursing leadership. Students will identify a nurse leader within their organization to mentor them in completing this culminating project. Prerequisite: Admission to RN-BSN Program. Corequisite: NURS 4918
