Catalog description

Focuses on the identification and treatment of young, middle-aged, and older critically ill adult patients in critical/emergency care. High acuity pathophysiological disorders are studied to provide patient-centered nursing interventions within a safe and quality care environment. The CSUB Department of Nursing Conceptual Model provides a basis for viewing health problems. The nursing process is studied as an approach to re-establish systems stability and maximum functional status. Principles and concepts of teamwork and collaboration are used to discuss the development of the nursing care plan in the critically ill patient. 150 minutes of lecture per week.
