Catalog description

This course focuses on the principles and concepts of pharmacologic interventions tailored for obstetric clients, neonates, women's health, and clients with behavioral health conditions. Integrating pharmacology, physiology, and disease processes, it emphasizes dosage calculations, drug classifications, and the application of the clinical judgmental model to medication administration. Students will learn dosage calculation techniques, safe administration practices, methods to monitor and manage adverse reactions/side effects, and client education pertaining to medication use. Prerequisites: NURS 2160 . Corequisite: N3110, N3130
