Catalog description

This course provides for application of knowledge and skills through provision of nursing care in various clinical settings for infants, children, adolescents and their families. Evidence-based practice and the nursing process will be used to identify functional and dysfunctional health patterns, formulate nursing diagnoses, and develop comprehensive nursing plans of care. Emphasis is given to clinical reasoning, collaboration, safety, and health assessment, promotion, and education related to the developmental level of children and their families.
