Catalog description

The course consists of weekly seminar discussions to focus on connections between university mathematics and the mathematics that prospective secondary mathematics teachers will be teaching and as described in California's Common Core State Standards for Mathematics, Standards for Mathematical Practice, and Mathematics Framework. Course includes 45 hours of observation in middle or high schools. Observations will include opportunities for prospective teachers to interact with middle/high school students in small group instructional settings. CR/NC.
