Catalog description

An examination of normal and diseased aging and the effects of physical activity on maintaining functional independence and a quality of life in older adults. Topics explored include physiological responses to acute and chronic exercise, the benefits and risks of physical activity, and life course barriers to active living specific to older adults. Three units lecture/discussion.
