Catalog description

Key objectives of this course are to learn various compliant methods of preparing reserve estimate, learn to estimate and understand the impact of economic on the estimates, and properly classify those reserves using the current reserve definitions. Different production forecasting methods are discussed in the class. Computer software is used for reserve estimation and production forecasting. In-class activities and a project are used extensively to develop skills and an understanding of concepts. 150 minutes of lecture and 150 minutes of lab per week. GEOL 4060 recommended. A course fee will be required.
