Catalog description

Mineralogy, petrology, classification and genesis of sedimentary rocks with emphasis on geochemistry and post- depositional processes including diagenesis. Field and laboratory studies will focus on outcrop and cores of Cenozoic rocks of southern California. A field trip may be required. 150 minutes of lecture and 150 minutes of laboratory per week. A course fee is required.
