Catalog description

In this course students will develop the skills to measure, map, evaluate, and communicate geologic data. These skills include gathering available information to plan and conduct geological investigations as well as collecting, describing, and recording new geological and geophysical data. Students will prepare and interpret geologic maps, stratigraphic columns, cross-sections, and geologic reports using datasets obtained from field and laboratory investigation. Lab and required field trip(s). Equivalent of 150 minutes of lab per week per unit. A course fee is required.
