Catalog description

Topics include stratigraphic analysis, environmental reconstruction of stratigraphic sequences, correlation, facies relationships and the interpretation of modern and ancient sedimentary environments. Focus will be on sedimentologic and stratigraphic field and laboratory techniques emphasizing the geologic history of southern California. A field trip may be required. 150 minutes of lecture and 150 minutes of lab per week. A course fee is required.
