Evolution of the earth's atmosphere, oceans and life and their relationship to geologic processes Recognition, distribution and significance of environments and life through geologic time. Field and laboratory introduction to techniques used in recognizing and interpreting environments and ecologic associations. A field trip may be required. 150 minutes of lecture and 150 minutes of lab per week. A course fee is required.
