This course course offers a historical examination of the racialized experiences of power dynamics impacting Asian American migration & movement between and in spite of borders in the US from an Asian American Studies framework; provides analysis from the 1800s to the present reviewing historical forces affecting the diaspora, immigration, migration of the following Asian communities: Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Korean, South Asian, Punjabi Sikh, Southeast Asian.
