Catalog description
Morphology is the branch of linguistics dealing with the analysis of word structure. The course examines the common word-formation processes of inflection, derivation, infixing, compounding, and reduplication within the context of the lexical, metrical, and prosodic theoretical approaches. Emphasis is also placed on the interrelationship between morphology, the lexicon, phonology, and syntax.
