Catalog description

This course introduces students to Shakespeare's literary and theatrical world. Class may include lecture; discussion; video recordings; local productions; analysis of themes, sources, language and other traditional literary approaches; in-class acting exercises; and selected performance aspects (such as blocking, staging, costumes, and set design). Selected readings in the tragedies, comedies, and histories.
