Catalog description

Practice in expository writing, focusing on the college research paper. Includes instruction and assignments in critical reading, writing, and research with a focus on purpose, audience, occasion, and tone. Prerequisite: Placement in Category 2 or Grade of D- or higher in ENGL 1100 or equivalent for students in Category 3 or 4. This Foundational Skills course must be completed with a grade of C- or higher.
