Students analyze forces driving reading/language arts mandates and their impact on the implementation of reading curricula. Using philosophical and corporate underpinnings of the "Reading Wars", students discover the praxis between theory, research, and practice. Prerequisite: classified standing in DPEL, approval of the Director for student's academic plan; and EDLD 6010 , EDLD 6020 , EDLD 6030 , EDLD 6040 , EDLD 6060 , EDLD 6070 , EDLD 6080 , EDLD 6110 .
