Catalog description

With the growth of large-scale systems, there is an increasing need for distributed systems that can cover the load. This class will cover MapReduce, cloud computing networks, timing, fault tolerance, consistency, transaction, dataflow and peer to peer systems. This course emphasizes the evaluation of real-world systems from multiple contexts. Each week lecture meets for 150 minutes.
