Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce students to the theory and practice of modern bioinorganic chemistry. Topics include the binding, stability, and folding of metal ions and proteins, cofactors, metal clusters, transport and storage of metal ions and metal clusters in biological systems, biominerals, biomineralization, electron transfer, respiration, and photosynthesis. 100 minutes of lecture/discussion per week.
