Catalog description

This course is designed as an introduction to quantum and statistical mechanics. This course will cover concepts of quantum and statistical thermodynamic theories. In the course of studying these broad areas, a computer algebra system will be used to generate plots, analyze data, and complete problems sets. 100 minutes of lecture/discussion and 150 minutes of laboratory per week.
