Catalog description

This course is designed as an introduction to chemical thermodynamics. This course will cover the laws of thermodynamics, thermochemistry, equilibrium processes, and kinetics. In the course of studying these broad areas, a computer algebra system will be used to generate plots, analyze the thermochemical data, and complete problems sets. 100 minutes of lecture/discussion and 150 minutes of laboratory per week. Corequisite of CHEM 3602 is strongly recommended.
