Catalog description

The course covers advanced concepts in the study of the structure, reactivity, synthesis, and analysis of organic compounds. Topics include nucleophilic addition-elimination reactions, electrophilic & nucleophilic aromatic substitutions, pericyclic reactions, free radicals, polymers, organometallics, and special topics (asymmetric synthesis, catalysis, etc.). 100 minutes of lecture/discussion per week.
