Catalog description

This course is designed to provide students with fundamental knowledge foundational to inorganic chemistry and how this knowledge applies to all of chemistry. This includes periodic trends, bonding, and structure in inorganic chemistry, oxidation-reduction reactions, acid-base chemistry, aspects of symmetry and group theory, periodic element survey of main groups, transition metals, f-block metals, transition metal complexes, and nuclear chemistry. 100 minutes of lecture/discussion per week.
