Catalog description

This course is designed to provide students with fundamental knowledge foundational to analytical chemistry and how this knowledge applies to all of chemistry. This course focuses on dynamic chemical equilibrium and its application to the chemical analysis process, to acid-base equilibrium problems including buffers, to precipitation/solubility equilibrium, and to electrochemistry (oxidation-reduction reactions). 100 minutes of lecture/discussion per week.
