A general education course introducing basic concepts of chemistry to the non-science major using examples from the beer and wine industries. The course focuses on the use of the processes of beer brewing and winemaking to introduce chemical principles. 150 minutes of lecture/discussion. Not acceptable for the major or minor. Recommended additional course CHEM 1119 Laboratory.
