Catalog description

Study of organisms and the physical characteristics of the environment as an interacting and integrated system. Topics covered are the climate and geologic factors that affect ecosystems. The central processes that govern ecosystem function are covered including water, carbon, and nutrient cycles. An emphasis will be placed on how ecosystems are perturbed by environmental changes. 150 minutes lecture and 150 minutes laboratory. Lab fee required.
