Catalog description

Phylogeny and classification of vascular plants with emphasis on field recognition and identification of important plant families and genera characterizing the major floristic regions of California. Lectures review taxonomic diversity, evolutionary relationships, and eco-geographic patterns of western floras. Laboratory includes weekend field trips. Field trip fee required.150 minutes lecture and 150 minutes laboratory.
