Catalog description

A study of selected factors pertaining to current public health problems, with emphasis on the physiological and sociological effects of the use of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs; developing self-awareness for health by appropriate utilization of the health system, wellness as a life-long concept through health information services; fostering physical fitness and knowledge of nutrition, especially for children and young adults; and thorough stress management. 100 minutes lecture. Not acceptable for the BS Biology major or Biology minor. Fulfills requirement for teaching credential.
