Catalog description

Students explore the history, culture, application, and impact of craft on elementary and secondary education. The course provides an in-depth exploration of craft in education through the hands-on use of various crafts including textiles, ceramics, jewelry and fibers. Accompanying lectures will examine the historical and contemporary presences of these crafts as well as the possibilities they present for the development of future generations. Materials fee required.
