Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth exploration into the issues and conditions covered by artists in Latin America as well as within Diaspora communities working within the United States. Student will inquire into central issues including the limits of where "Latin America" is situated both as a region and as a collective experience. Students will explore art practices ranging from the post-WWII period through current trends in contemporary art practice.
