Catalog description

An examination of the basic adaptations of humans to their environment with the association and interaction between geography, environment, adaptation, and culture being the primary focus. The basic concepts of ecology and the adaptive strategies of hunter-gatherers, pastoralists and agriculturalists are discussed in detail. Consideration also is given to the changing adaptations of cultures undergoing modernization and to the impact of human cultures on the modern environment.
