Catalog description

This course will introduce the principles of pharmacology, including the effects drugs have on the body (pharmacodynamics), the impact the body has on drugs (pharmacokinetics), and drug toxicity/adverse effects. This will be followed by an overview of drugs treating the major disease states and a discussion of the drug discovery and development process.
