Catalog description

Human Genetics is a three-credit course designed to deliver the core concepts and principles of Genetics, aligning with emerging Genomic and Precision Medicine. The contents of this course will cover Classical (transmission), Molecular, Population Genetics, and Genomics. This course will focus on active learning and critical thinking to understand the expression of genotype to phenotype and various regulations. The application of genetic knowledge and technology to diagnosing, preventing, and treating human diseases will also be emphasized. This course aims to better prepare students for their future medical school learning, clinical practice, and biomedical research.
