This course investigates connections between performance and protest. Covering a range ofprotests and performances, from the 1968 student and worker protests to the 2017 WomensMarch, students explore the role of performance in protest movements and contemplatehow artistic performances work as protests. Assignments include designing a performanceelement for a protest and critically analyzing the performance of a protest.
