Catalog description

An exploration of science fiction narrative and film from Latin America. Through a selection of works by Latin American authors from the early 20th century until the present, we will study how the history, cultures, and traditions of the region have shaped the genre of science fiction, and how this affords a singular perspective to think about topics like technology, neoliberalism, ethnicity, colonialism, the environment, and the future of the planet.
