Catalog description

A historical perspective on the ethical, legal, and political issues central to the history of the American Presidency. Special emphasis on cases in which the President came under investigation when charges of ethical and legal violations came to the fore. Students learn about the legal, political, and historical contexts in which such investigations took place, and analyze the ramifications of such investigations for the institution of the Presidency.
