Animal models are important tools in the study of psychiatric disorders, but what is a "good" animal model of a psychiatric disorder? In this course, we examine how animal models are generated, discuss their validity and utility in neuropsychiatric research, and review some of the major neuroscientific insights made possible by animal models. Topics may include: Depression, Addiction, Schizophrenia, Autism, PTSD, OCD
