Catalog description

Controversies abound in evolutionary approaches to human behavior, concerning both basic theoretical issues (e.g., modularity and domain specificity) and broader societal issues (e.g., the relationship between evolutionary theory, racism, and sexism). In this class, students engage with some of the most fundamental debates in evolutionary behavioral sciences, interrogating evidence and assumptions concerning our theoretical positions and responsibilities as scientists.
