Catalog description

Retraces the history of our understanding of motivated behavior, from the early psychological/neuroscientific studies to the modern day. We survey and discuss primary research literature (mainly from nonhuman animal models), with a focus on how neural circuits and dynamics mediate specific psychological (computational) processes. We also examine how alterations in relevant brain circuits contribute to maladaptive behaviors in neuropsychiatric disorders.
