Cognitive psychology: What is it good for? Quite a lot, as it turns out! Reviews basic theories and findings in cognitive psychology and how they are applied in such diverse real-world situations as education, the legal system, and the design of new technology and information displays. Students also reflect on how they can use principles of cognitive psychology to improve their own study habits and everyday activities such as navigation. Includes regular writing assignments and reading of original articles in psychology.
