Catalog description

Examines the legal frameworks and policies that shape the fight against climate change. It examines key international agreements, federal and state regulations, and economic instruments designed to address climate change. The course also addresses the legal tensions between environmental goals and economic interests, as well as the challenges of enforcing climate change regulations at different levels of government. Through case studies and discussions, students will develop a deeper understanding of how legal systems are adapting to the evolving climate crisis and the role of law in promoting effective and equitable climate protection.
