Advanced Engineering Thermodynamics

Catalog description

This course is an extension to ME151A and will discuss advanced concepts in engineering thermodynamics, with practical applications in energy generation, transport, conversion, and storage processes. Topics include: free energies, Maxwell relations, refrigeration cycles and technologies, thermodynamics of solar energy, introduction to statistical thermodynamics, and other topics related to renewable energy research. Prerequisite: ME151A or equivalent courses on thermodynamics.
