Catalog description

Addresses crystallization from the melt and solidification of alloys and compounds. Fundamental macroscopic thermal, fluid and mass transfer aspects of growth. Nucleation, growth, the stability of solid/liquid interfaces and microstructure formation during solidification of multicomponent systems. Crystal growth processes are addressed, including Czrochralski and Bridgman growth, shape casting methods and directed energy processes.
