Solid State Ionics and Electrochem Devices

Catalog description

The objective of this course is to familiarize students with ceramic materials used in state-of-the-art Li ion batteries and that can enable advanced electrochemical technologies such as solid-state and electrical grid batteries. The course will briefly cover fundamental aspects of ceramics and their processing, solid-state electrochemistry, and the design, manufacturing, and characterization of state-of-the-art Li ion and advanced battery concepts.
