Special Topics in Mathematics - Linear Optimization

Catalog description

In this course, students study optimization techniques in the area of Linear Programming whose goal is to find the maximum or a minimum of a linear function subject to linear constraints. This area of mathematics has broad applications in engineering, in data analysis, in industry, in medicine, etc. The only prerequisite for this class is Linear Algebra and some Multivariable calculus.
