Practicum in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages

Catalog description

Designed for students who are interested in teaching/tutoring English as a second or foreign language to adult learners, either abroad or in the United States. Through engagement with course curriculum/materials and through site-based observations, classroom and small group/individual teaching opportunities, and pedagogical feedback from a mentor teacher, practicum students will develop experiential knowledge regarding the applications of theoretical and pedagogical concepts in the teaching and learning of English as an additional language.
