Does poetry matter? The purpose of this seminar is precisely to find answers to this query by exploring the process of reading and writing poetry. In the first five weeks we will analyze a selection of Spanish-language poets in translation. Well host acclaimed Spanish musician and ethnomusicologist Francisco Esteban to explain the process of setting poems to music, and poetry translator Professor Anthony Geist.
