Catalog description

Introduction to the practice of Physics at UCSB. Explores research practices, ways of thinking and approaches in Physics. Students will learn to give scientific presentations in class. Students will be exposed to some of the Physics research groups on campus as well as information on what it takes to become a researcher in such groups. Students will be given tools that will help them be successful with their Physics courses at UCSB, and guidance on the career paths that are available to them.
